Lille fullback Mathieu Debuchy hopes to still see a move to Newcastle United happen.

Debuchy was left frustrated after missing out on a move in the summer.

"The president [Michel Seydoux] did not want me to go to Newcastle but yes, I was disappointed," Debuchy told L'Equipe. "I hope there will be other opportunities but I'm 200 per cent committed to Lille."
