Lille defender Kjaer: 'A move to Liverpool would make my family happy'

Lille defender Simon Kjaer admits his family would love to see him join Liverpool one day.

The Denmark international is eyeing a possible move to the Premier League in the near future and revealed that making his way to Anfield would be a move that those close to him would relish the most.

"It's not a secret that my family are Liverpool fans and a move to Liverpool would make my family happy but they support me more than they support anything else so they are happy wherever I go as long as I am happy," 25-year old Kjaer told Goal.com.

"And I am a player, not a fan, so I would choose the club that is the best place for me to play my football and where my family would be happy.

"It is always nice to hear about big clubs being interested but I won't concentrate on any other club than Lille right now."

Kjaer has been with French side Lille since joining from Germany's Wolfsburg in June 2013 which came after stints with homeland club Midtjylland and Italian outfit Palermo.
