Lille confirm plans to keep hold of Liverpool's Cole

Lille are eager to sign permanently on-loan Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.

Cole, 30, joined the French champions on August deadline day.

Lille are unbeaten in Ligue 1 since his debut and he starred in Tuesday night's 2-0 Champions League win at CSKA Moscow.

Lille president Michel Seydoux said: "We can make him an interesting offer."
