Stephan Lichtsteiner has hinted he felt let down by Arsenal teammates on debut in defeat to Manchester City yesterday.
The Swiss veteran was badly exposed by City's attack during their 2-0 win in London.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Lichsteiner reflected at the final whistle: "It's difficult to start against City, we started not bad, we wanted to win, but it was not possible, we lack confidence, we are working every day to get back to a high level.
"We have to take more confidence, play from behind, set up the game, a little bit like this.
"How is the Premier League different? There are more spaces and for the defenders it is not easy to defend, in Italy it is more closed and there is more help for the defenders."
