The National Professional Football League (LFP) has asked the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to suspend the scheduled indefinite strike.
Strike action has been called for May 16 across all of Spanish football.
Javier Tebas, the LFP president, will convene with the AFE on Tuesday in a conciliation procedure - Tebas is not optimistic ahead of that meeting - and on Wednesday all parties involved must go to the High Court as La Liga has denounced AFE for what is, in its opinion, an "illegal strike".
