Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is spearheading talks with Barcelona for striker Samuel Eto'o.
The Mirror says Levy has stepped in to try to broker a £15million deal for Eto'o. Spurs are facing major competition from Inter Milan for the Cameroon striker and that has led to Levy taking matters into his own hands.
His intervention has already proved successful. He flew to Croatia to help the signing of midfielder Luka Modric from Dynamo Zagreb last month.
