Levski Sofia have confirmed star striker Nikolay Dimitrov is on his way to Arsenal.

The Gunners have made a move for the forward, who impressed in the recent Under-21 clash with England. Levski Sofia star Dimitrov, 20, is highly-rated in Bulgaria and is now set to head to North London for a trial.

Levski's executive director Nasko Sirakov said: "We have known about Arsenal interest from about two weeks ago. The only thing now left is for Nikolay to travel to London."

Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov is certain that Dimitrov would be a success at the Gunners.

He said: "I am very happy for him. He is young and very talented. The invitation from Wenger is quite a tribute, not only for the player but for the club also."
