Liverpool look to set to miss out on Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt.

According to Bild, the 21-year-old is close to signing a new contract with the Bundesliga club.

Brandt has been linked with the Reds, as well as Bayern Munich, as a clause in his current contract would allow him to leave for £11 million.

This new deal that Brandt has agreed upon will get rid of the dangerous clause.

Bayern have already gazumped Liverpool this month, with Schalke midfielder Leon Goreztka deciding on the Allianz over Anfield.
