Leverkusen's Son, Sunderland's Ki named as South Korea recall Arsenal's Park

Hong Myung-bo has named a 24-man South Korea squad for next month's international friendly with Greece.

The Taeguk Warriors take on their fellow World Cup qualifiers in Athens on March 5 with Hong naming a strong squad.

One notable inclusion is Arsenal striker Park Chu-young who has been recalled despite not playing for his country since February 2013.

The 28-year old, who has netted 23 goals in 61 international outings, is currently on loan with Championship side Watford which has helped Hong make the decision to select him once again.

"I agonised over this decision," Hong told reporters on Wednesday. "I spoke to him on the phone a few times.

"Though he's not playing at the moment, I figured he is still in decent form, and it wouldn't be a problem to have him on our time."

South Korea's usual suspects Ki Sung-yeung (Sunderland), Lee Chung-yong (Bolton), Cha Du-ri (FC Seoul) and Koo Ja-cheol (FSV Mainz) plus young guns Son Heung-min (Bayer Leverkusen) and Ji Dong-won (FC Augsburg) have all been included for the trip to Greece.

The Taeguk Warriors are preparing for this year's World Cup in Brazil where they will take on Belgium, Russia and Algeria in Group H.
