Levein urges Leeds United McCormack to have patience for Scotland cap

Scotland boss Craig Levein has implored Leeds United striker Ross McCormack to remain patient regarding another international chance.

The 25-year old Whites ace, who has scored 16 goals in all competitions so far this term, was left out of the Scotland squad for tonight's friendly with Slovenia which frustrated him to no end.

But Levein admits he feels sorry for McCormack, who has seven Scotland caps, and has urged him to remain calm about his next opportunity.

"I feel sorry for Ross - because we play with a lone striker he has been unfortunate," he said.

"If he's patient then his chance will come again."
