Dundee United boss Craig Levein wants his players to show they can compete by achieving the consistency of the Old Firm. While expectations at United are realistic enough to know third place would be an achievement this season, Levein is doing nothing to dampen down the enthusiasm shown by both players and supporters at present.
He said: "The reason the Old Firm have won so many championships is that they have shown remarkable consistency.
"Now the challenge for the rest of us is to try and match that.
"For us, that means getting a result at Motherwell this weekend to build on Sunday's win over Celtic."
