Levante striker Giuseppe Rossi puts hand up for Italy recall

Levante striker Giuseppe Rossi has put his hand up for an Italy recall.

Rossi has scored four goals and created two assists in 11 Liga appearances for Levante.

"Physically I am in good shape, I'm finding consistency and slowly the goals and victories are also arriving for Levante to secure safety," Pepito told Radio Deejay.

“I do feel good and am getting back to a high level, so if the call were to come, I'd be ready if needed. I don't need to send messages to Conte, as what really counts is what I do on the pitch.

“I left Fiorentina because there wasn't enough room for me. It was disappointing, but I had to think of myself and to find an environment that had faith in me.

“The muscular problems after such a long lay-off were only normal and you have to work twice as hard. The first time I wanted to recover quickly for Euro 2012, so I pushed harder than I should've done and hurt myself again. I learned from that.

“Now I work calmly, doing what I need to do. My knee is in perfect condition, I feel really good and don't even think about the injuries anymore.

“I don't want to think about bad luck either, because last year I was in bed with my leg raised, so I am happy to be where I am now.

“I am happy on the pitch and hope to rediscover myself psychologically too."
