Levante have sacked coach Juan Ramon Lopez Muniz.

Following the draw with Espanyol on Sunday, Muniz has been dismissed as coach of Levante with Paco Lopez set to take charge.

The club's board have taken the decision after a crisis meeting was held in the hours after the clash at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia.

Muniz had been under pressure recently, yet with the club having three matches over the course of the last week, the board decided to give him that time to turn things around.

Muniz was informed of his fate at a brief meeting and B-team boss Lopez will now be placed in charge of the group until the end of the season at least.
