Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is ready for crunch talks over his future with new manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Lescott is set for urgent talks with the new Blues manager next week when he returns for pre-season training.

A source told the Daily Star: "The situation is simple really. He wants to play and doesn't want to spend next season sat on the bench.

"If he isn't going to play ­regularly at City, then he can go to another club that will value him more."
