Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott believes the team now needs to take control themselves as the title race heats up.
City sit five points behind crosstown rivals Manchester United with four matches remaining and Lescott suggests that two wins prior to the derby at the Etihad Stadium on April 30 will be a very good tonic ahead of a potentially title-defining fixture.
"No matter what we're going to have to win that game if we want to win the league and take control of our own destiny.""No disrespect to Everton and Wolves (next two opponents) but we'd both like to think that we could win those games. So that means there is more emphasis on the derby," he said.
