After Everton beat West Ham United 3-1 on Saturday the players performed a lap of honour at the final whistle for their last home game of the campaign. "The lap we did after the final whistle was special," Lescott explained to the Liverpool Daily Post.
"The fans have been there for us all season and it was a time for them.
"It's always important for us to applaud them for their support as much as it is for them to applaud us.
"They have been massive and away teams come here knowing it's going to be hard for them because our fans are brilliant," he concluded.
