Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott says the players will welcome back Carlos Tevez.

Tevez has apologised for his actions this season.

"It's a massive boost if Carlos can come back in and hit the form he has shown us over the last couple of years," Lescott said.

"For us Carlos has never been an issue so we're confident that if he does get a chance he can score a lot of goals.

"It hasn't been a situation. He hasn't been here for the last couple of months but that is an issue that the club has dealt with and the players have got on with the job in hand.

"We're still performing in the Premier League, it hasn't affected us in any way and I don't think it will affect us in the final run in."
