Joleon Lescott can't wait for Manchester City's Premier League title defence to begin.
The Eastlands club achieved the ultimate success by taking all before them in England's top flight last term and the centre-back is keen for things to kick-off in season 2012/13 after he returned from his break following Euro2012.
"I had a little break, I got away with the family after the Euros and had a bit of down time," Lescott told the club's official website.
"It's nice to be back at Carrington and I'm eager to get back in.
"It was a slow start initially - they know not to kill us on the first day!
"But the season comes around pretty quick, so over the next fortnight we'll have to get everything in."
