Joleon Lescott is well aware that Manchester City still have to play and beat QPR this weekend before they can clinch the Premier League title.
The Eastlands club are level on points with crosstown rivals Manchester United but have a superior goal difference heading into the final match of the season.
City host the 17th-placed R's at the Etihad Stadium and although they have been widely tipped to win, Lescott insists that the players have not yet pencilled it in as a victory.
"Every team we play represents a different challenge and we will go out there with the right attitude and manner and try to get the job done.
"It's been a great few weeks with the five wins on the bounce and the way we've turned things around, but for us to start getting carried away now would be silly.""I've heard a few things have been said about how we will approach the game and that we think all we have to do is turn up - but that's complete nonsense," he told the club's official website.
