Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott admits their away form just isn't good enough.
City fell 1-0 at Sunderland on Sunday.
Lescott said: "It was very disappointing. It has happened to us four years on the trot there and it's not the best place for us to come.
"Overall, I don't think we deserved to lose the game, but maybe they had a bit more appetite in the first half than we showed. We should have come out of it with something.
"It's hard to say why we are getting results like this away from home. It's not like we feel any different going into games. Every team has to play away and at the moment we just can't pull it together and go on a run.
"The atmosphere and surroundings are a lot different, but really we need to knuckle down and start picking up points away from home."
