Aston Villa are ready to hand Fabian Delph new terms.
The Daily Star says Villa owner Randy Lerner is personally overseeing plans to keep the midfield star at his club with a bumper new four-year contract.
Delph impressed on his first start for England in Monday's Euro 2016 qualifier in Switzerland.
And American billionaire Lerner is now ready to sideline his wage-slashing regime to sanction a new £50,000 a week contract for the 24-year-old.
The tycoon enjoys a close relationship with Delph and the two regularly communicate by phone.
