Leonardo would welcome a return to Inter Milan.
The former PSG chief has been linked with the sports director's post at Inter.
"I don't know if (Erick) Thohir wants me, but I have a close relationship with Moratti," Leonardo said. "He knows all about me and my ideas.
"If Thohir was to call then it would be because of the information Moratti has on me. However, to start a new role during the course of a season is never ideal.
"This break in my life is a moment of reflection, to enjoy my family. But I don't want to be out of the game for too long."
