Leonardo has marked his first game in charge of AC Milan with a victory.

Milan defeated Varese 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pippo Inzaghi, who also wore the captain's armband.

"I told the lads to get into a new gear with tactical innovations and to be Milan - that means entertaining fans and taking the initiative, something we didn't see much last season," said Milan president Silvio Berlusconi.
