AC Milan coach Leonardo singled out Alessandro Nesta and Nelson Dida for praise after their victory over Chievo Verona.
Nesta struck twice for the Rossoneri, while Dida kept Chievo at bay in the Milan goal.
When it was still 1-1 in stoppages, Dida performed a stunning point-blank reaction save on Pablo Granoche, wiping out memories of his Real Madrid howler.
"Dida's save was extraordinary and explains why we celebrated like that with him. He has a remarkable ability to put a huge mistake behind him and move on, proving decisive for the team.
"Dida's error in Madrid was partly my fault, as I told him to immediately restart the attacking play the moment he got the ball. He was looking for who to pass it to and rushed it, so the ball bounced off his knee," explained Leonardo.
"As for Nesta, what more can I say? He has become far more than a player for us and he's indescribable. He needs a halo at the moment.
"He started this season not really knowing if he would ever play again. That is a very big thing to have in a players' mind and it shines through in his performances, as he gives everything he's got.
"I think the foundations of any project are your enthusiasm and ambition. This squad is finding its joy of playing and the more we win, the more than grows within us.
"Right now we are starting to find our balance, even if the games themselves are dramatic, and just looking at the way they celebrate says it all."
