AC Milan GM Leonardo says Manuel Locatelli won't be held against his will.

The midfielder is a target for Sassuolo.

Leonardo said, “We never thought of making Locatelli leave, it was a particular thing. It was up in the air for a long time and we were waiting.

“This wait has led to choices and decisions, but since we arrived we have never thought of making him leave.

“One thing is fundamental in this Milan and in all big clubs: a player has to be happy to stay and want to stay.

“We'll probably find a solution for [goalkeeper] Gabriel. Having two strong goalkeepers [Pepe Reina and Gigio Donnarumma] and a great goalkeeper for the future in [Alessandro] Plizarri.

“So we're well set for goalkeepers."
