Udinese insist they won't cash in on Fabio Quagliarella should they win him in today's blind auction with Sampdoria.

"Our fans can stay calm," sports chief Pietro Leonardi noted. "We are almost certain that our offer for the player is higher than Sampdoria's valuation.

"If that is the case then I am telling our supporters to go and buy replica Quagliarella shirts because he is not transferable.

"He'll play with us next season."
