Lens defender Raphael Varane is remaining calm about reported interest from Manchester United.
The 18-year old Frenchman's club is set to go down to France's Ligue 2 as they sit second bottom in the top flight and are nine points from safety with five games remaining.
This fact has made the interest surrounding Varane grow even heavier and it is believed that Man Utd are keen but the Lille-born centre-back is not getting carried away with this sort of talk just yet.
"I have no preference between going abroad, staying in Ligue 1 or staying here. There's been contact between certain clubs and Lens. Manchester United are among them," he told L'Equipe.
"I know that I'm being followed but, for the time being, I've made no decision. I've not even discussed this with the president (Gervais Martel) yet.
"[Ligue 2] is a league in which you learn things and it could allow me to gain playing time.
"What's more, lots of players from France's Under 21 team are first-choice players there and are picking up experience."
