Leno confirms Arsenal had FaceTime session with Welbeck before Wolves

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno confirmed that players spoke to Danny Welbeck before their clash against Wolves.

The Gunners squad had a FaceTime session with Welbeck, who is recovering from a horrible ankle injury sustained against Sporting, before their Premier League game.

Everyone on the playing staff was shocked and saddened when they saw Welbeck's injury in the game. It is unclear how long he will be out for.

"We talked to Danny in the meeting before the game, we had a FaceTime session with him," Leno said to the Evening Standard.

"It was very good. We wanted to win for him. We all are sorry for him, for his injury, and hope he will have a good recovery and we hope to see him on the pitch because he's an important player for the team and also in the dressing room.

"I think he was happy to talk to us because he is still a big part of our team and we will support him when he is injured.

"I think that is a big quality of the manager, because he always wants to have a team, not just one player, one player, one player [as individuals.] This meeting was very motivating for us and for every player to play for Danny, because everybody likes him."
