Aaron Lennon says Tottenham can provide the backbone of future England teams.

Darren Bent was the only Spurs player in Capello's squad for last week's friendly in Germany, but Lennon is sure that he, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Tom Huddlestone, Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King are not far behind.

"If you look at every English player in the team, they will be in the squad in the future," said Lennon. "We've a young squad. Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas are great ­players. Woody and Ledley are two of the best centre-backs in the Premier League. All our squad could be in the England set-up."
