Lennon: Game improving under Spurs boss Redknapp

Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon says he's a better player for the arrival of manager Harry Redknapp this season.

Lennon told the Daily Star: "I've always been a huge instinct player, and that's a real advantage, but only to a point.

"Like any other position, I'm nothing without tactics. So much of my game these days is knowing what I'm going to do before I get the ball.

"Maybe in the past I'd just stand out wide and wait for the ball to come to me, whereas now I can see it coming, run the defender one way before going behind and coming back, in order to give myself a couple more yards.

"It was into building and developing this awareness that the manager really had an impact on me and he has constantly encouraged me to carry that on.

"It's a confidence game, always.

"When things are going well, you know yourself and you do things naturally without even thinking about things."
