Lennon family gutted as Spurs star to miss Leeds date
The England international has been out of action since the end of December when he suffered a groin injury in the 2-0 win over West Ham but had high hopes of making an emotional first team return in time to play against his former club this weekend.
But the star has since suffered a further setback and was left devastated by his absence, with a return to first-team action unlikely until next month.
Lennon, 22, started his career at Leeds and played 43 times for the club before moving to White Hart Lane in a £1m deal in June 2005.
He had invited a flock of friends at family down to London to watch the game, and thought he would be involved after he started some light jogging at the Spurs training ground earlier this week, says the Daily Mail.
