Lennon confirms Boruc as Celtic's number one

Celtic interim boss Neil Lennon insists that keeper Artur Boruc is the No.1 choice at Parkhead. Boruc returned between the sticks for the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday, having missed out on the three previous games because he was on compassionate leave.

The 30-year-old stopper had been replaced by compatriot Lukasz Zaluska after returning to his native Poland.

"We have two good goalkeepers here and we want them pushing each other," he said.

"When you come off a 4-0 defeat, it can be psychologically damaging for any player but I wanted Artur back in the team.

"He has been a world-class keeper here.

"He is he best keeper I've seen at Celtic for a long, long time and I wanted him back in the team."
