Celtic boss Neil Lennon was over the moon with how his side performed in last night's Europa League meeting with Stade Rennes.
The Hoops kept their knockout stage qualification hopes alive with a come-from-behind 3-1 result over the French club which puts them third on the Group I table, two points behind Atletico Madrid and Udinese following the Spanish clubs 4-0 victory over the Italians last night.
But it was only the Celtic game Lennon was worried about and he heaped praise on his players for putting in a good shift against a very dangerous Rennes outfit which came about courtesy of a first-half brace from Anthony Stokes before Gary Hooper later put the icing on the cake.
"It was a wonderful team performance," he said.
"It's a miracle really considering the number of absentees we've had.
"We even lost Glenn Loovens at half-time which was another blow to us, but young Marcus Fraser came in and did brilliantly.
"I just felt some players did their bit for the team.
"Georgios Samaras, Anthony Stokes, Beram Kayal and Victor Wanyama were amazing in midfield.
"I thought young Adam Matthews at left-back had a stormer, while Daniel Majstorovic was a brick wall in the second half.
"My goalkeeper also made good saves when we needed him to. We scored a great third goal, but overall as a team we showed great belief in ourselves and I'm very proud of them.
"I've never questioned the players' commitment, the only thing I question is the consistency.
"We need to be careful now that we don't get too complacent ahead of Sunday's league game with Motherwell."
