Heart of Midlothian FC have given a lifetime ban to the man who attacked Celtic boss Neil Lennon on Wednesday night.
An unnamed 26-year old man was able to get past security and rush Lennon early in the second half of the Tynecastle Stadium clash between the two clubs midweek and has since been charged with a breach of the peace and assault against Lennon aggravated by religious prejudice.
Hearts have confirmed that the supporter will be refused entry to any match at Tynecastle as they feel his actions were simply not fit for a football stadium.
"While not wanting to prejudge the outcome of the court case, all true Hearts fans will have been disgusted by what they witnessed last night," a Hearts spokesman said.
"There is no justification for such actions, which have no place in the game of football, and we have taken the severest action open to set the strongest possible deterrent.
"As such, the supporter involved has been handed a life ban from Tynecastle Stadium."
