Lennon appoints part time advisor

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed Stuart Baxter has joined as a part-time advisor. The Finland coach Baxter will now act as an aide throughout this season.

Baxter was in London on Sunday to watch the team's 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the Emirates Cup and will help the inexperienced Lennon as and when he needs advice.

"Stuart was here at the game," said Lennon. "He was just here to watch the game and get some impressions.

"Stuart will be an advisor to me if and when I need it. It's a part-time situation as he has a job with the Finnish Football Federation.

"The one thing I lack is experience in management. He has had a lengthy career in Scandinavia and elsewhere.

"I don't know him well at all but he doesn't need to be my pal. We're just going to talk football and when we go away from home in Europe he might be able to help us."
