Leicester City striker Simonas Stankevicius has stated his delight at playing against England at Wembley in front of 83,000 fans.
Stankevicius earned his ninth cap for Lithuania in their 4-0 defeat at the hands of England in the Euro2016 qualifiers on Friday night when he came on as a 67th minute substitute and despite the disappointing result, the 19-year old has stated that he is over the moon after being awarded a chance to play on such a big stage against the Three Lions.
"It felt so good to have the chance to go out on to that pitch to show what I can do," Stankevicius told Leicester's official website.
"The coach trusted me to just go out there and play. I was waiting on the sidelines for a few minutes to get on and I was always quite confident. I just wanted to get on the ball but we didn't have a lot of possession, so it was a lot of defending. Maybe we were a bit nervous when we did get it. In my head, I was enjoying it though.
"In the first few minutes, it didn't really seem real, it was so exciting. But after about five minutes you start getting used to it. It was a big moment and it felt great. I think we should have done better but England are a big team and it was a good experience."
