Blackburn Rovers have announced that Tom Lawrence will remain with the club for a further month.

The Leicester City midfielder has been on loan at Ewood Park since August and will now remain in Lancashire until January 31 after his initial stint expired at the turn of the year.

21-year-old Lawrence, who has two international caps for Wales, has made 19 Championship appearances for Rovers and has been impressive for Paul Lambert's 17th-placed side.

Lawrence has also been given permission by Leicester to play for Rovers in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie at Newport County.
