Leicester City have handed trials to released Swansea City winger David Cotterill.

Cotterill signed for the Swans for £600,000 in January 2010 but failed to make an appearance this season and was released by mutual consent.

"He has been with us only a couple of days so we will see how that develops," Foxes boss Nigel Pearson said.

"We haven't had a great opportunity to do a lot of work with him. We are looking in various positions to try to strengthen, of course."
