Leicester City star Chris Wood has taken aim at West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke.

The Kiwi has been a revelation since his sale in January.

Wood said: "Steve Clarke simply didn't rate me.

"How long did it take him to realise I wasn't his type of player? Forty-five minutes.

"I returned from the Olympics on the Sunday and that Tuesday I played against Walsall in a pre-season game.

"After 45 minutes he dragged me off. That was the end of me at Albion.

"I was disappointed it didn't work out but I'm a believer that things happen in life for a reason."
