Leicester striker Vardy: Shakespeare doing the right things

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has reaffirmed his support for Craig Shakespeare to get the manager's job full time.

Vardy is close to the man who helped convince him to stay after a difficult first season in 2012-13.

"He really hasn't changed," says Vardy to the Daily Mail. "He was always the person you could go to if you did have issues. A couple of the lads fire 'Gaffer' at him but we are still calling him 'Shakey'.

"He doesn't want to separate himself from the group just because he is the manager, he wants the atmosphere to be exactly as it was when he was assistant. He is obviously doing the right things."
