Standing at 6ft 4in, Harry Maguire isn't usually the man a coach would encourage to take long-range shots.
But the Leicester City stopper did exactly that against Southampton on the weekend. His strike from 25 yards out that beat Saints goalkeeper Alex McCarthy proved to be the winning goal.
And Maguire has revealed how Foxes manager Claude Puel always encourages his players to have a dig.
"To be fair the boss is always telling me whenever I get around the box to let it go," said Maguire.
"He tells all the players that. If you don't shoot you don't score.
"It opened up nicely. Obviously they were down to ten men so I was pushing up myself to try and get involved and create something.
"They sat back, were well organised. They are a good team and will beat a lot of teams here.
"It opened up for me, I got a good touch and knew what I was doing. I wanted to keep it low and hit the target."
