FC Augsburg have sacked Daniel Opare - with immediate effect.

The fullback, who attracted interest from Leicester City and Stoke City last month, is now a free agent. Opare was dumped by FCA after being photographed in talks with rival club officials, believed to be Schalke, reports BILD.

FCA chief Stefan Reuter confirmed: "Daniel Opare has repeatedly lied to us despite the confrontation with facts. Furthermore, he has repeatedly violated the Code of Conduct within the team."

Opare is now free to negotiate terms with any interested club.
