Claudio Ranieri suggests Riyad Mahrez is struggling to deal with frenzied media interest in his Leicester City future.
The Algerian winger, who starred for the Foxes in their Premier League-winning season, continues to be heavily linked with a summer move to Arsenal.
The reigning PFA Players' Player of the Year failed to impress as Leicester were beaten 4-0 by French champions PSG in California on Saturday and manager Ranieri feels his subpar form may have something to do with the enduring Gunners pursuit.
"Maybe Riyad is distracted a bit by all of these rumours and speculation," Ranieri said. "But that is also an experience for my players.
"It is important that he understands that he should stay with us. He has to improve his fitness and play for the team as well as last season."
