Leicester City full-back Christian Fuchs has postponed his inevitable move to Major League Soccer by signing a new deal with the reigning Premier League champions.
The 30-year-old has his wife and children living in Manhattan, and he has already stated his desire to finish his career in MLS.
However, he has now delayed those plans by another 12 months by signing a new three-year deal with the Foxes.
He said: "I've had the best time of my career here. It's madness. Nobody expected what we have achieved to happen and I think there's still a lot more to come.
"The main idea first of all was to be here three years but I'm very happy here and that was simply the reason to stay another year."
The former Austrian national team captain has a youth academy, the Fox Soccer Academy, based in the US, the UK and his homeland of Austria.
