Leicester star Albrighton enjoying inspired run of form

Marc Albrighton says he is currently enjoying the best spell of his career.

Leicester City have made a blistering start to their Premier League campaign and while the duo of Riyad Mahrez and Shinji Okazaki have been widely credited for the Foxes' fine run, winger Albrighton has also had a huge contribution.

The 25-year-old former Aston Villa man has now gone on to admit that he is enjoying a purple patch at the moment and is hopeful of continuing his rich vein of form.

Albrighton told the Leicester Mercury: "I am certainly getting where I want to be. When I burst on to the scene at Villa, it was going well and probably down to a couple of reasons it has never kicked on from there.

"But I have always said if I can get a run of games in the team, get playing and get fit and get where I want to be, then my performances will come. Last season, proved me right. Hopefully I can continue that.

"Every coach I have ever had has said I need to add goals to my game. If I can do that and chip in with my fair few, then brilliant. The most I have scored in all competitions in a season is nine, so I would love to beat that."
