The Sun says Sven Goran Eriksson is set to beat Sam Allardyce in a £3million scrap for Mackail-Smith.
Leicester boss Eriksson expects to clinch the signing of Peterborough striker Mackail-Smith, 27, today after the player rejected a switch to Upton Park.
