Leicester set to double wages of Bournemouth target Gray

Leicester City are determined to tie down winger Damian Gray to a new deal, and they are prepared to double his wages to do so.

The 21-year-old has repeatedly expressed his frustration at the lack of playing time with the Foxes and has several clubs, including Bournemouth, reportedly interested in his services. He was also a subject of a £20m deadline-day bid from the Cherries, but it was turned down by the Foxes.

However, according to the Mirror, the Foxes are now planning to take matters into their own hands by offering a new £50,000-a-week deal to the youngster.

Gray has confirmed has also confirmed the ongoing talks: "We're in talks. I'll let my representatives deal with that and I'll just concentrate on playing football.

"I had a run around for 45 minutes against Chelsea, which is good for me, and hopefully I can turn it into starts. I want to work hard and get myself into the team."
