Leicester set sights on seventh after FA Cup exit - Albrighton

Marc Albrighton has said Leicester City are now targeting seventh place following their exit from the FA Cup.

The Foxes went down in extra-time during Sunday's quarter-final against Chelsea.

But Albrighton believes the squad will now work hard to finish as high as possible in the Premier League.

"Seventh place is our target now," said Albrighton. "We have to aim for that.

"We have to take that form we showed today, the desire and the spirit, into the league and start picking up some points, especially at home.

"We can't let this be the end of the season because we still have plenty to play for.

The international break is quite welcome. We have a lot of international players that can go away and clear their minds and concentrate on international football.

"It will do them good to have a break away from the league and domestic competition.

"For the rest of us who are staying, it will be a chance to get in some more training and keep ticking over with our fitness.

We will also have a few days off to refresh and recharge the batteries.

However, when we all come back together we have to get straight back to work because we have eight games remaining and we want to finish as strongly as possible."
