Leicester City striker Darius Vassell will miss the rest of the Championship season after undergoing knee surgery.

The 31-year old sustained a torn medial meniscus and a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament against West Ham United on October 29.

He has surgery today and is expected to miss up to six weeks which essentially rules him out of the remainder of the current campaign.
