Leicester's King dedicates goal to Speed

Leicester City midfielder Andy King has dedicated last night's goal against Blackpool to the late Gary Speed.

The 23-year old netted the opener as the Foxes defeated the Seasiders 2-1 at home in the Championship and King, who played under Speed in the Wales national team, said it was a thanks for all the guidance he had received from the former Premier League star.

"Yeah [it was hard to play], but ultimately Gary Speed was a football man and I think he would want people to play football and it was nice for me to score as a little thank you to say thanks for all he done for my career," King told Sky Sports Radio.

"He played me for Wales in some big games and I have been fortunate enough to be in all his squads and I am really grateful for that and all the stuff he has done for my career and there is no way I can thank him more than that."
